Two golds at SIBA Scotland 2018

Two golds at SIBA Scotland 2018

Everyone at the brewery is delighted to have added another two accolades to our already creaking awards shelf at this year's SIBA Scotland competition.

Bottled Magnus Blonde and canned Muckle IPA both picked up gold in their respective categories (Imperial IPA and Session Lager).

Lewis made the trip to the big smoke that is Glasgow City to represent Swannay and collect the award. It was a last minute trip and there was no time to shave.

Magnus Blonde, a 4.3% session ale, is one of our newest bottled beers whereas Muckle IPA, hailing from our Mutiny range, is a mighty 6.6% IPA and is one of our four current canned beers.

The eagled-eyed/-minded will notice that for the first time ever we didn’t win any awards for our CASK beers this year. Well that’s because we didn’t have any cask beers entered. Blame so-called master of the ship Lewis for that oversight. Mea culpa.

Congrats to all other winners (even the Orkney Brewery!). There’s some good beers in Scotland these days.
